    Dannmar lift question

Nazu, my understanding (I have not done this myself) is that there are stores that will sell you hydraulic hoses of whatever length and width you specify. So if your problem is just that a specific hydraulic hose isn't long enough, you can probably get a custom one made.

    MaxJax - Won't Lower

There was a relatively recent discussion in the General Garage Discussion area, I think, about the MaxJax not descending with a vehicle up. I have difficulty with the search feature, so I couldn't find it. The gist was that the inside coating of the posts was preventing them from lowering...

Atlas 2 post lift anchor spacing too close?

To me, they clearly seem too close together. Does the manual say anything about this? Have you contacted the company? If I recall how this goes from previous discussions, the anchor bolts create a cone through which the weight on the lift is distributed. The deeper the anchor bolt, the bigger...

    vertical compressor

I would guess that is NOT what the manufacturer intended. When you see a compressor with a horizontal tank, the compressor portion is still on it vertically. Does it have a manual or could you contact the manufacturer?

    New Guy --- Lift Questions

I think you should start by contacting Rotary. It's not clear to me what's under there or what could have happened under there since it was installed.

After much deliberating, I've decided to go with a 4 Post Lift. Just 1 more question

I can't be certain, but the way I am picturing his issue in my head, that would put his ramps up against the back wall of his carport.

After much deliberating, I've decided to go with a 4 Post Lift. Just 1 more question

In my experience, many 4 posts allow you to choose the location of the pump/motor from between two different locations. Driver side front or passenger side rear, for example. It's based on the location of the power side runway and should not impact your drive in direction. Have you considered...

School me on buying a used man/cage scissor lift!

Re: School me on buying a used scissor lift! Some random thoughts: * If possible, have the seller demonstrate to you that it is in working condition. * Video the disassembly process. * Make sure you get all the disassembled parts. * Get the name and contact information for the...

Is it best to pour new concrete if you can’t be certain what strength your existing s

Have you considered a four post? You don't even have to bolt it down, much less worry about the strength of the concrete.

    Scissor Lift mobility

If the two pictures show everything you have, then you are missing: * a power unit * a hydraulic cylinder and all hoses * a safety lock mechanism Can you determine the manufacturer? If you are determined to move ahead with this, it would be best to get replacement parts designed for the unit...

Real world feedback: 4 post lift for tractor, mini ex, and other equipment

I'm not quite clear why you seem so down BendPak. As far as I can tell from your posts, they are the only company that has provided relevant information *in writing*. You cited it yourself in your first post. Your second post indicates you reached out to Rotary, Atlas, and Challenger, all of...

Installing a lift and not to sure about the concrete anchors provided with the kit. L

So let's start at the beginning: is the lift a 2 post or 4 post? Many 4 post lifts don't use anchor bolts at all, so getting the anchor bolts exactly right is less of an issue. Anchor bolts are also called wedge anchors. If you haven't already, I would go out on the internet and investigate...

4 Post Two Car Independent Lift

I can't say for sure, but in the photo earlier in this thread it looks as if there are some mechanisms above the beams at the top of the lift. If there are mechanical locks, they could be up there. Another avenue to check is I think most BendPak manuals are on their website.

    Will I regret a lift?

You can have a car on a 2 post and store a car under it. I imagine some would make the case that this setup is less stable than storing a car under a 4 post. There are plusses and minuses to all these setups. If I were doing a lot service work and a little or no storage, I would get a 2 post...
