maybe not in every scenario but on more than one occasion i have seen guys including me heat the bolt red hot and it doesnt move. leave the bolt "cold" and heat the surrounding area and it comes loose. similar to a cold bearing not moving on a shaft. heat it up and it falls in place or falls off.
