    Milwaukee Bench Grinder?

I have a V-121, which is a 7" Milwaukee grinder. I looked for a V-101, but could never find one. Very nice. You can see mine in the vintage grinder post.

    Anybody have a SK Toolbox?

I have the same upper box that I got from a dealer when SK was going under around year 2000. Got a great deal on it and it was new still in the box. It is a well built box and I agree with you that it is extremely heavy. All my mechanic tools are SK. I started buying them back in the 70's.

Milwaukee 5081 10" Bench Grinder NOS and more - help with values

I have 3 Milwaukee bench grinders...a 7", 8" and a 5081 1hp 10". That one is in great condition and it is hard to find one in that condition. For value I would say 4 or 5 hundred. I would pay $400 for it today if you are near central CA. I wish mine was in that perfect an original condition...

I think your tool rest arms are mounted backwards. I have never seen them mounted that way. Very Nice Grinder!!! I am on the lookout for one that size.

Here are a couple of pics of the eye-shields on my grinder. I really like these shields, they are nice and big and have two lights in each one.

    Milwaukee Bench Grinder

Thanks... the paint came out ok, new wiring, the eye-shields needed some light sanding and then took some fine steel wool to them. Wish I knew how to make the name plate look better, but I didn't want to ruin it.

Here are my bench grinders: Both Milwaukee - 7" V-121 and 8" 5051 Everything original on the V-121, except the tool arms and rests were for a Wissota E-7, oh and the lexan lenses.

    Milwaukee Bench Grinder

Well after sanding it all down. It is still difficult to tell exactly what color it was. Taking the cast iron end housings off revealed a red or at least a red oxide type primer or paint. Underneath the base, inside where the wiring is, also had the same reddish color. Now the end caps did...

Regarding the serial #... The "W" means it was made by Wissota, The next digit might be the month of manufacture, I forget...The last two digits are the year of manufacture.

    Milwaukee 5091 Bench Grinder...

I am in the process of mounting one to a stand. I was going to put a heavier base plate and put 4 mounting holes with bolts through the base plate, and tack weld the mounting bolts so they don't turn. I wonder what their thinking was for mounting this? I guess they just figured it to set on a...

Well I will finish sanding the grinder tomorrow and see what I come up with. I just took it all apart today. Yes it does have the lighted shields that clamp on to square posts.
