Born in The Bronx and at 14,I had my 1st car,(a 1950 Ford with flathead 239 C.I.D.,3 spd. manual), 3 on the tree!Worked at the D&H RR in Rouses Point,N.Y. in the summer at 13 yrs. old for free to be around my 1st love,diesel engines.Ended up in a complete truck & auto shop at 18 in Ellenburg,N.Y. Worked for over 20 shops during the next 40+ years.Got certified in EMD engines,and worked as a chief engineer for 11 yrs.
