Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

I considered doing that at first based on another members design on the first gen red carts. I chose not to do that because the drawer latches were not really removable easily or ambidextrous. There is no sheet metal in the center section to create the latch hole. You could add a new piece of...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

I was able to cut about 2 inches off of the drawer side of the bottom tray. I cut down the side just inside where the vertical posts attach and then across the front in a U shape. This allowed the posts to attach. I removed the drawers from the top of the second cabinet by drilling all the...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

More drawers and a welding cart too. Adding and reconfiguring drawers was fairly easy. I did not save the drawer locking mechanism but did add the indents for the drawer latches. Pleased with the results but have more mods to add. I was just finishing the mods yesterday when the Canadian...

Sears and Craftsman Want Your Feedback!!!

it is really disappointing when something like a set of stubby wrenches has lots of feedback about being made in the USA but when they show up on my doorstep they are clearly not made in the USA. Depending on what state they are delivered to you might get USA tools or you might get Chinese...

Craftsman USA 20 piece Stubby set - $84.99 or less

Well I just got mine in Texas and they are not stamped USA. The addons, 1" and 21mm were Craftsman Industrial and were stamped USA. The whole lot is going back to Sears. Really too bad, there are plenty of places to buy Chinese tools for much less... It looks like luck of the draw on USA...
