    Baldor Bench Grinder

Name plate looks like 712RE. If that's the case, I think it's a lower end Baldor with stamped metal tool rests. Not sure the rest of the differences, but it's still a Baldor. How much is it? https://www.baldor.com/catalog/712RE

    Better heat solution under $1000

Also, do you keep the garage heated, or just heat it while you're in there? If you keep it heated, I'd lean to the mini split. I installed a 24k Mr. Cool DIY in my house and it works good. Very efficient.

    Better heat solution under $1000

Yes, you can use home heating oil. I use off road diesel because that's what I can get at the pump and it's cheaper than kero. Kero is the cleanest burning, heating oil or diesel will have more fumes. My workshop is "well ventilated". I don't notice the fumes, unless it runs out of fuel and...

    Better heat solution under $1000

Is the garage detached? You can run multiple units from one tank, you'd just have to get the line to the new unit. I'd keep an eye out on Craigslist for a mobile home oil hot air furnace and for a good used tank. Lots of people switching to NG and getting rid of oil stuff, at least around here.

Need Compressor Motor: Baldor, Leeson, or WEG?

You can't use a 7.5hp VFD to convert single phase to 3 phase. When you convert, you have to derate the VFD by about half, so you would need about a 15hp VFD to run a 7.5 hp 3 phase motor on single phase.

    Air Compressor Speed Change/Stall

Air compressor pumps are pretty simple machines. You can have it torn down in a half hour. The 90 psi thing sounds like it could be rings. The surging thing might be something in the pump that's binding up intermittently? I'd tear the pump down and see what you see. If you find the broken/worn...

    Troubleshooting a compressor motor

What brand is the motor? I've found that a lot of equipment companies have good technical support that can give you a lot of good information over the phone if you call and explain your problem.

Cat6 and RG6 to Detached Pole Barn - Need help

Have you looked into a wireless point to point system? Probably cheaper than hard line and conduit? Also, did you try the powerline adapter on receptacles right next to the panel? Did you try switching one of the circuits to a different leg of the 220v? If they're on different legs, or if...
