I was thinking the same thing. Maybe re-plumb to have 2 buttons depressed to run it so your hands are out of the way.
Crushed cans are maybe not good for getting your refund, but plenty good for casting aluminum ingots with!

I once used my air compressor and blow-off gun to fill a bunch of balloons for my nephew's birthday party.
I also used an old fire extinguisher and rolling/swiveling shop stool to teach my nephew about Newton's third law of motion.

I think it's also important to keep in mind that iPhones are made in factories where people were (are?) literally jumping off roofs because working a 14 hour day in miserable conditions for a few dollars tends to make people want to off themselves. Not that a factory in the US would ever be that...
My brother swears by his Big Green Egg. He even has some sort of thermo controller for it so that he can set a temp and it will modulate the vents to hold that temperature as long as possible. No more staying up all night to cook a brisket! Although we still seem to wind up staying up all night...
I had a safe in a (western-facing) garage for a while. I always had trouble with temperature/humidity, even with a dehumidifier rod and desiccant.
Do you know what rating the safes have? How big are they? That, along with weight, should also be part of your consideration when trying to decide...

AFCI breakers are a real annoyance in my experience. Anything that causes excessive electrical noise can trip them (AC-DC drivers, electric motors, etc.), especially if the AFCI breakers are an older revision.
