OMG.....where does time go? Talk about a blast from the past....back when I was younger and healthier and less a tornado (tree through the roof of the shop last year and one through the race car trailer).
I'm sad right now.....damn. Well most important thing is I am still alive.
Now that I am...
The inside photo was taken from the side door entrance corner of the shop.
Oh...I forgot to mention I decided on not doing the 10ft tall door. I am considering making that corner the tool box / work bench area.
Right now the shop is an open floor plan. It is 32ft wide and 42ft deep with 12.5ft ceilings.
I want to keep the half that does not have the garage door in front of it clear. I also will be using the lift for repairs.
Where is the best place to locate a lift (2 or 4 post) in a 32ft x 42ft shop? Should it be towards the front of the shop by the garage door or the back of the shop?
The lift needs to be on the garage door side of the shop. The other half of the shop is to be an open floor work area.
Let me be the first to say......WOW!!!!
Great job. I am slowly getting ready to pull the trigger on my shop. But due to the size I am doing my research and want to make the right decisions.
Again...it looks great!
I am considering grinding my floor to prep it. Due to its size and having to do it in sections since it is in-use and leaving my tools, racecar and parts outside is not an option.
What needs to be done after grinding? What is the best way to prepare? Shop-Vac, mop, pressure wash?:confused...
I have a shop that is in use at this time. It is 32 x 42 and I don't have a way to empty the shop completely to do the floor all at once.
Can I do the floor in sections and then once the one side has cured move everything to that side and do the opposite side?
If so how would I protect...
OMG....I feel your pain!!!!
I had help raising my walls for my shop out back a few years ago. At one point we were raising a 16ft x 12ft section of wall that the wind lifted and tossed out in the yard.
Luckily it landed in the yard in one piece and not busted up. But for a brief moment I...
I know what you mean about collecting stuff real fast. I am in the process of clearing out my shop so I can do the floor before it gets much colder. So now I am starting to see just how much stuff I have accumulated.:wtf:
Welcome to the party....and I am already wishing I had more space. I...
