Personally for storage I'd want a 4 post for safety/stability and ease of use. Anyone can drive a car up on some ramps and press a button to lift it. Easier than having to place arms under the frame every time. I've had my 2200lb car on my 2 post lift for ~4 days at most continuously - but I...
You'll want the center-line of the lift at least 12' from the door, that should fit most cars + trucks (this is actually what a couple lift manufacturers suggest in their manuals). If you'll be working on full size trucks I'd go with 14'.
Although my lift is configured for symmetric use - it's...
I bought a m6-1.00 tap on eBay a while back. I'd guess $8. I fixed quite a few messed up threads with it. That's where I'd buy a die from. I'm sure the truck is double $$ lol.
I'd go with 3 stage-arms since they have a few more inches of adjustment. I've used 2 stage and 3 stage and I don't find either one annoying or harder to use than the other.
That lift with only 54 inches of spacing does seem like it would limit your lifting options. If 63" will be really tight fit - maybe go with a different style of lift like that Nussbaum above. Or the bigger Atlas Kwik-Bay 7000 lift. It has similar specs but looks like the spacing is more ideal...
The red oval indicates the points of contact for a 2 point lift. Remember to center the truck between your lift posts.
ETA: I notice you've got side steps. Keep an eye on them during the initial lift. If your lift risers aren't tall enough you might contact/bend your side steps with the lift...
I worked at a CDJR dealer for ~3 years. Lifted plenty 4th gens on scissors, 4 posts, and 2 posts. It's been a while, but for the front, you should place the lift pads on the frame forward of a crossmember. The rear lift pads go on the frame as far back as possible where it's most flat. Usually...
Yeah that'll be tight...10.2 ft is about 122.4". You're trying to stack 56" + 44" + 4.5" of runway which is a total of 104.5" You'll need to leave a few inches between the tops of both cars, but I think it's still good.
As for the 3.5 ft of raised concrete... how much is a concrete saw rental...
We had a heavy duty 4 post lift at work (20k or so) that had a foot pedal to release the locks. It also had two sticks to operate the runways.
If you can find a 4 post lift like this style of expensive Challenger - you can operate it with one hand. To release the locks you reach up to the...
I would be shocked if you get anything useable from them. Registered the domain name in Feb of this year, never heard of them and the prices are absolutely insane when you consider metal prices have gone up slightly, and the general inflation during the last 1.5 years.
The "Aston" brand lifts...
