Craftsman RHFT Ratchet Type Study 1968-2009

Yes I have the Pointy A type 1, I thought I had a snap saved of the sticker that is on it, can't seem to put my finger on it at the moment. I noticed a sticker on a type 2 as well, but wasn't able to win that auction, but I'm on the look out. Still hunting the net to figure out how many there...

Craftsman RHFT Ratchet Type Study 1968-2009

No where near a complete set. I'm only trying to collect the 1/2" at this point though I have a flex 1/2 a 3/8 and 1/4 that all get used. Then there are a few beater duplicates in 1/2" Trying to make heads and or tails of the dating using the "v" codes as there quit a bit of overlap. I know I'm...

@KnurledNut I guess my google-fu failed me, but brought me to another very cool post.

Breaker Bar made from Carbon Fiber and 3D Printed Titanium

Searched the site looking for 3D printing Titanium hoping there were some comments on the Tools Snap-On made for McLaren. I came across an auction for a 2020 MCLaren Speedtail that came with various SO tools in a kit. A ratchet and several sockets, a couple of combo wrenches. Seems 3D printing...

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

@Jim C. Wow that is a lot to get through and I'm trying, work and all! The type study does allow for variations within a type, vs creating a new type. I think I'm going to need to build a spreadsheet to keep it all straight. Now that I have it seems there are as many as 35 different variations...

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

This link is spot on and just from a quick glance I may have a way to go, since I have 6 and there seems to be ten. A bit of searching before hand also mentioned the quick release vs non, so I'll be interested to see if both were offered in each type...It's been a neat hobby so far, nothing too...

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

RHFT Craftsman ½” Raised panel differences. I’m not an active member here, but lurk from time to time. Do a bit of reading and such. My story is very similar to others, I dig tools. My first good tools were Craftsman, and rather than going to the toy stores in the mall growing up, I went to the...

    New guy wondering

WWIIjeep that Snap set w/t 19/32 was bought new by me IIRC in '88 at that point I wonder if it had a purpose. Its not like I tried to trade it back or anything. I guess I'm just not old enough to have run across something that required it is all.

    sk tool

Funny the local independent auto parts store at one time carried SK they're a chain store now and don't. I broke a 1/4" ratchet and its sat in my box for years. I saw that Grainger carried SK now so I called up my local branch and told them my situation. Was honest and told them I didn't buy it...

    New guy wondering

Hey wornoutoldman, a coworker just got a heart two weeks ago after almost four years on a VAD. Yes there are many tools that get used infrequently, in fact I have to remember to use something other then a common combination wrench. Its like wait I have a ratcheting one I can use! Same with...

    New guy wondering

Sure murphaayyy but you've used more then ONE in those set I imagine. I can't think of any other set I have, other then maybe the inverted torx bits ("E"). Also just to use them I did use all the TP Torx even though I've only come across a few TP's. Again what's with the 32nds in the snap set...

    Air Line Question

The thumbnail is small and tough for my eyes to see I can add most people don't bend black pipe, you can use a back to back 90° elbows and make a "Swing Joints" to get whatever the pitch is you need.

    New guy wondering

OK new here seems like a cool place. I guess there is a forum for everyone and thing. Tools! another passion. So Going through my tools today straightening things out, I came across a set of Proto 8pt sockets 1/2" drive 1/4" to 1" with only one that I ever used! I remember buying the set...
