A friend of mine remodeled his kitchen and I repurposed his old cabinets. Mostly pressboard but they do the trick.
I glued and screwed three layers of MDF together and trimmed it in 1"x4" pine and put about 4 coats of Poly on it to keep some oil out of the wood. Added some peg board to the...
It is a Silverado SS you have a good eye. I have the same user name on silveradoss.com had the truck since new in 2003, been a lot of fun. I had a tree fall on the garage last month and punch a hole in the roof, I will have to get the pics uploaded and share... What a mess.......

As of a week ago, I got the siding all finished up. My father was a huge help, having two people on ladders instead of one makes it go a lot faster. We were able to get the soffit completed and the aluminum fascia as well.
I am very happy with how it all turned out. I hired a guy to do the...
Hey thanks, like I said a long time coming. The single bay is 24' deep by 12' wide. It has a scissor truss above for the added headroom. The walls are all 10' as well. The original plans called for it to be stick built, but my local truss shop was able to design and manufacture all of the...
The floor was done by a local concrete contractor, he came to prep the floor and snap lines and layout the project on a Friday to pour it on a Monday.
Nice polished floor with a 2" slope on the double bay garage side over 24'. The depth of the two bay is 34' so the back 10' is nice and flat...
Been on vacation and TDY for work so here are some more updates for you. I have been working on getting the electrical done that I could get it inspected and close out my permit. Turns out I need to have it sided before I can get my CO. Whoops.
So I did all the wiring myself, and pulled the...
Well the roof was on today just in time. They were picking up and it started to drizzle. Can't complain with three and a half straight days of good weather in up state NY!
I took a few pics of the interior framing showing the pre made valley set of trusses to transition between the two gables...
I figured the power line had to be in the conduit the whole way, I just wasn't sure if it was only suppose to travel vertically directly to the panel or not. It may have to take a 90 degree turn horizontally for a bay to get to the panel.
I talked to my inspector today and he found a few kinks...
It's all sheeted as of today and the built stairs and a landing and set the second floor flooring.
Roof is getting put on tomorrow. The inspector is coming by first thing and she should be weather tight by noon tomorrow.
Garage in a week!
They set the trusses in just over and hour, it is amazing what the professionals can get done in a short amount of time!
They sheeted the far side of the garage and left for the day.
Tomorrow they will sheet everything else, install the valley set of trusses and finish up the fascia. ALl the...
Thanks guys, I know, the sad thing is even after this week... I still need to do electrical, insulation, garage doors, flashing, slab, build stairs...... Etc. it will be quite some time before it truly is done!
