    Mini chamfer tool

Couple of issues with mine, if doing aluminum, the area next to the cutter under the "table" area packs up with chips and you have to knock it out. The screw that holds the bearing onto the cutter shaft backed out mid cut on mine and took a nasty notch out of the part I was working with...

    M18 tool line?

The higher capacity packs for the m12 line are "L" shaped and put part/all of the extra cells in the lower section. Sean

Tool to cut accurate angles in 1x2 square tubing, 1/8" thick?

I have the klutch mini bandsaw and while it works great to cut, it is not accurate enough for precision work and the small size/throat opening limits angles on bigger stock. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200888098_200888098 The issue on mine seems to be the pivot axis is...

    Project Manager Software

For organizational use, I found clickup to be really nice. It has a lot of functionality for schedule/completion and tasking on it as well as inbuilt chat, file storage, and documentation abilities. The trial is free but is is subscription based on a per-user base. Sean

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

I wonder if it is supply chain issues, I have seen a ton of out of stock notices or just general lack of inventory in brick and mortar stores. Sean

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

Any of y'all know if CPO is not going to carry Milwaukee anymore? They are listing a bunch of stuff on sale but there is no other mention of Milwaukee under their brands anymore. https://www.cpooutlets.com/shop-by-brand.html Sean

    Guitar rehab

Honestly, this is a decent start to an initial setup and test. Between CS Guitars, Crimson Guitars, Big D Guitars, and Andertons there are a ton of good resources out there for getting back into it. If you want to go down a rabbit hole, checkout 5 watt world. Sean

    Guitar rehab

I started down the rabbit hole of instrument work and fab about a year ago and it has been really enjoyable and a great excuse to get some new specialized (read expensive) tools. Hopefully I will get a chance to start on guitar number 3 and 4 soon with some elm that a buddy of mine had from a...

    Porter Cable dead brand?

I (thought) I needed a replacement bearing/pad mount for one of my older orbital sanders and nearly all of the parts are unavailable now. I think the only service part you could actually get was the little o-ring. Fortunately some of the DeWalt parts interchange (like the 3 bolt sander pads. I...

    Hardware storage

Home Depot used to have husky branded containers that were the same size as these from Plano (https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/plano%C2%AE-prolatch%E2%84%A2-stowaway-tackle-box-001925080p) that I really liked and had probably 30 of but they were discontinued. The Plano ones are not as well made...

    110V to 220V

Not that it is a super great/legal idea but could you find 2 circuits, one on each leg of the breaker box and just pull the one hot leg from each? Basically make a Y adapter. In principle its basically the same thing as a 2 leg 220 breaker unless I am missing something. Sean

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Probably old news for y'all but I finally got a chance to put the m12 die grinders to real use and if you are planning to use them for anything more than deburring you really should get the bigger batteries. I have a ton of the 1.5 and 2.0s and it eats them like popcorn. They are fantastic...

When you cross thread that F1 wheel nut and loses the race

They should all have lead in/delayed start threads on them if my memory is correct. The thinking is that if the lead in to the threads is the same as the minor diameter of the thread, then you can't misalign the nut relative to the thread which means it "has" to thread on correctly. Not...
