I have heard that before and have in fact purchased another hanging heater. However, there's times where I would like to heat the building up with just the floor heat and it would be nice for it to take less than a day to move 5 degrees.

What temperature are you setting your boilers at for in floor heat? I seem to remember setting mine to the lowest setting available (115F) as per the manufacture's instructions. I wonder however, if setting it higher would result is a faster heat up time in my shop? Thought's? Any reason why...

Ya, the more I think about it, the more I'm like, maybe I should just get a propane torch and remove the ice once and a while. If I get once of those plastic drains and it doesn't work, I probably can't heat that with a torch as I'd damage it. Damn, winter is tough!
