I have an Aquanot (now owned by Zoeller) battery backup pump that was New In Box from eBay, but still branded from the original company. It appears identical as the currrent Zoeller model and was a significant upgrade from the Basement Watchdog or Ace in the Hole ..... which I think are both ****.
Similar situation whenever our hot tub kicks on it's auto cycle. The 50A breaker makes a split-second buzz sound as the pumps fire up. Been doing it for years and never had a problem or overload.
Another suggestion is Waterproof Vinyl Flooring.
Its a floating system that is completely waterproof and can be submerged for extended periods of time.
We recently did our basement (22' x 24' room) and the style we used was a click together that came in 6" x 3' planks. Easy to work with, just...
Me too. Did a manual trans and differential oil change last month and still have a jar on the bench with a little leftover Redline 75-90. Can't resist taking a sniff of it now and then.
For me there is always a pucker factor in getting underneath a car that is on stands.
I do it often and use the HF 6 ton stands, keep the jack engaged slightly, and have some cribbing (2x10s or landscape timbers) under each pinch weld.
It takes a while to setup but the payoff is once I am...
Current house had an FP panel which I replaced shortly after moving in. It was several years ago, but I put the old breakers on eBay and had many people bidding on them. Don't recall the exact amount but it was surprising how much they sold for.
I got a CReader V for Christmas. It's not the most current but it is good and does the job.
If I were to get another I would go for the Bluetooth plug-in and App on a phone because the interface would be more robust and familiar.
Midas shops (and most chain stores) are a crapshoot .....
Years ago before I knew any better I got schnookered by one (Lisle IL) and have been telling people to avoid it ever since.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Wheaton IL shop has always been very good.
Now I do everything myself or...
Picked this up yesterday ... Really nice.
It is the last socket set I will ever need and a nice upgrade to the random collection of mis-matched ratchets and sockets I have been using for years.
Did not have an acute need to get it but am happy to have it.
The current state of the garage .... 2 car attached about 24x24, screen porch off the back.
First step is to install attic stairs and plywood decking above to store most of the "junk" some family members cannot get rid of.
General plans include insulated walls and ceiling, heating, improved...
