For a wood shop, nothing beats doubled up 3/4" MDF for cost and durability (except moisture!). You can also have it coated with Line-X bedliner, etc. for a very tough, durable finish. Harder to clean dust off though. I'd stay away from a metal surface, as it is too easy to knick your sharp edge...

I've been picking up yoga mats in clearance shops whenever I see decent colours. Usually the are $2-3 for a 24x72 roll. Tools don't seem to slide on the mat, but the mat will slide on the drawer bottom. Couple pieces of 2 sided tape does the trick.

Just bought this 56" box from NAPA on sale for $1499. It is made in Canada and 24" deep. I thought that was a pretty good buy for the money. These are the same as Costco sells under the SPG International label.

Google Dunlop Purofort boots. All the Oil Patch guys up north wear them and the are good to -40. Not cheap.

I just returned 2 screwdrivers with busted tips for warrantee no questions asked. I would find a different store to deal with if possible.

I shimmed the front of the upper box to keep the drawers from rolling out on their own. Floor slope was just enough to cause the drawers to open. The bottom has better locks to secure the drawers in.

I bought an all original '65 C10 and proceeded to dump $$$$$ into new chassis, brakes, engine and trans. Almost done, just needs exhaust and wiring now.

I picked up a set today at Princess. They had half a dozen left in Kelowna and it is a one time deal, as per the sales guy. Keep us updated on the 72 tooth swap.

Just be careful to not damage it. That stuff is like a razor blade on cracked or split edges. I'm doing MdF with Rhino Liner in my next garage, though it is pricy.

Mine did the same thing and no dice on the warranty. Just bought a used ( like new ) Snap On 3/8 off eBay for $85. All kinds of them for that money. Look at the completed sales to get an idea of prices. Tons of them on there for 130+ too if you can't wait for a deal.

Are these gift cards good for Canadian Home Depot stores? I'm moving into a fixer upper in October and saving some dough would be cool.

Anyone know if the gift cards will work in Canada? I've got a major reno on the house this winter.
