I hacked a Williams 12" locking extension. Drilled a .040" hole to remove the locking collar using a paper clip. Pressed into handle...

I would give it a try.. I have a qidi q1 pro and had some ABS to use.

yeah, it's plenty tight.

I wanted a longer 1/4" , so I 3d printed a handle from ABS with the proper hole(s) and press fit a 14" craftsman extension.
