Well I guess what has been confused then is the windows with the sides that landed in the rib. On the corners I can see behind the siding. Is the water not going to run behind there or am I just misunderstanding how this works.

From what I was reading I agree with you. I'll get some photos posted today so you can see what I'm dealing with. I am fairly certain 4 of the 6 windows won't be as hard to flash as 2 that landed in the ribs.
