    Let's see your axes

The head is a 2004 Woodings Verona. I carved the handle from a skinny black cherry trunk.

Around the home, what's been your most useful/liked tool you use?

My Dremel tool has top billing. I drive a 2004 Wrangler which has seen its share of road deicing chemicals and the Dremel has been invaluable for cutting off seized fasteners.

    5/16 wave in concrete floor

I don't think that's a concern. If you're having it coated what does the installer say?

How is Garage Flooring Inc 2 coat polyurea system?

A factor that may influence your choice is whether you have sun exposure on the floor. Epoxy is not UV stable and will amber in sunlight whereas poly won't.

    Floor grinding woes

I feel your pain. My past garage was 840 sq ft if hard troweled nastiness and the dual head Edco removed concrete but didn't profile well with the medium bond diamonds, which was all they had.

Do epoxy coatings mask grind marks? How uniform does the surface need to be

You could rent a walk behind grinder. The problem I had was the rental place had only medium bond diamonds. I don't know what psi my concrete was but I couldn't achieve as rough a profile as I would have liked.

Why not more love for Ballistix?

I'm seriously considering the BallistX SC over stain for our new house 500 sq ft garage floor. The only thing that concerns me is correctly spraying a mere half gallon of it over that size area.

Paint my floor of just seal it

I think using the sealer there makes sense unless you WANT that area to have color on the floor.

Ballistix Covering on a brand new concrete pour

I think the 28 day cure after pour applies to this product. If you go on Armorpoxy website you should find the tech info pages which may answer more questions. You also have to determine if you're using the three part product and 10 minute recoat process or the BallistX Pro followed by the...

New slab- Ballistix, Rust Bullet, Ghostshield, Hellfire or dye and MMA sealer?

RPH, I'm moving into a new construction home next month and I'm leaning towards something similar. I've been wanting to try stain but my house we are in now I had to coat the floor as it was so spalled from deicer. That was a lot of work to prep. Looking forward to the nice, new pour in the new...

New build garage coating prep and products?

Before doing any coating or densifier find out if the concrete has a cure and seal on it. Does it repel water? If so, find out what was put on it so you can decide how best to remove it.

Requesting help to fix my floor. Large breaks, brittle edges, and exposed rusted rebar. I have no clue what I am doing.

I hope your feet heal up. Never fractured mine as far as I know but I have mid and hindfoot arthritis from repeated ankle sprains, so I can sympathize.

Diamabrush vs. Grinder... Plus some other epoxy prep questions.

I just used a regular garden hose and nozzle to keep wetting it down and brushing it out the door. I did this probably five times and when dry I was getting virtually no dust on my fingers when swiping it. I let it dry for a week.

    Question on Filling Cracks

I didn't want to park outside overnight so I put cardboard down anywhere the car tires would touch the concrete to prevent oil, etc getting on the floor from the tires or from dripping off my Jeep's valve cover 😖. If it's rainy you can use plastic sheeting. During the day I parked outside and...
