My Dremel tool has top billing. I drive a 2004 Wrangler which has seen its share of road deicing chemicals and the Dremel has been invaluable for cutting off seized fasteners.
A factor that may influence your choice is whether you have sun exposure on the floor. Epoxy is not UV stable and will amber in sunlight whereas poly won't.
I feel your pain. My past garage was 840 sq ft if hard troweled nastiness and the dual head Edco removed concrete but didn't profile well with the medium bond diamonds, which was all they had.
You could rent a walk behind grinder. The problem I had was the rental place had only medium bond diamonds. I don't know what psi my concrete was but I couldn't achieve as rough a profile as I would have liked.
I'm seriously considering the BallistX SC over stain for our new house 500 sq ft garage floor. The only thing that concerns me is correctly spraying a mere half gallon of it over that size area.

I just used a regular garden hose and nozzle to keep wetting it down and brushing it out the door. I did this probably five times and when dry I was getting virtually no dust on my fingers when swiping it. I let it dry for a week.
I didn't want to park outside overnight so I put cardboard down anywhere the car tires would touch the concrete to prevent oil, etc getting on the floor from the tires or from dripping off my Jeep's valve cover 😖. If it's rainy you can use plastic sheeting. During the day I parked outside and...
