I ran into the same problem at a building I do maintenance at. Turn off the water supply and the sound would stop. It turned out there was a break in the line outside of the building.

If the floor has a tendency to get wet you could also set them on some patio blocks. That is what I would do in wet or even damp conditions. Good Luck!
