This probably sounds dumb, but so far at school we've only had to use the 1/2impact gun and a 3/8 cordless for some hard to reach areas. In what scenarios would I use the 3/8 impact over the 1/2? Would it be mainly for tight spaces where a big 1/2 impact would not fit?

Same here I got the 1/2 with impact sockets and want to get the 3/8 impact for all the regular not to tight, not rusted bolts.

So you have the 3/8 sockets in impact as well correct? I know it's suggested but I want to save money and not sure if I can get away with just using the regular sockets based on guns torque level.

I'm planning on getting CT761 3/8 impact but not sure if I really need it. Plus I'm not sure if I want to invest in 3/8 impact socket...
