To me it's a preference, Snap-On just feels better in my hands and seems to make the job go faster. I started purchasing Snap-On Tools in 1976 when I found out what Professional Quality Tools are like compared to the Cheaper Brands out there. My Tool Set probably has over 800 different sockets...
I keep all of my Shallow, Semi-Deep and Deep Sockets in the Same Drawers, they are divided up by Metric and Standard Chrome, and Impact, both Metric and Chrome.

I admire a lot of the Snap On Boxes I have seen on this thread, However since I am at retirement age, No way am I going to spend the money to purchase any of these newer boxes. Unless I hit the lottery.

I have never purchased the Snap On 29mm, or 34mm Combination Wrenches because nobody could tell me what the application for those 2 sizes were for. I wonder what a 28mm is for?

I was fortunate, My Snap-On Dealer stopped by every week for 13 years while we still had our Service Station and took care of me, he still is in the area and even though it's been 16 years since we sold our business, if I need a Snap-On tool warrantied, I can get a hold of him and he takes care...
I use a Dremel with a small grinding disc to remove engravings, then use sandpaper from coarse to ultra fine to sand it smooth, then use a polishing disc with Simichrome to polish it out, It works pretty well. I only do this if the previous owner put their Social Security Numbers on the tool.
Beautiful set of wrenches, Congratulations on the great find. I remember when they came out, I already had my Snap-On wrenches by then, and there was no way I was going to purchase the Proto 500 line at that point in time. They are nice though.

The cantilever box could be a Blue Point one. I have one of those boxes in my Garage. It's full of odds and ends. I want my brother to have it as a carry around box.
