Painting garage with Wagner wideshot extreme power painter

The most important thing wether using a Wagner or a commercial one is matching the tip to the paint. I have a Wagner power sprayer and two Graco units one is an X9 and the other is one of their commercial units I dont remember the model offhand. Anyways you can get good results with the Wagner...

    Looking for cost effective building

Have you considered a pole barn? Its one of the cheapest ways to build a building. I helped build my neighbors for him(he does all my mechanical work when I dont have time). We put up a 30x32x12 4/12 trusses, with 4x6 poles, concrete, 2x12 doubled headers, electric, steel roof and walls for...

    25 yr old X90 siding

Tear it off and replace. There is a reason that it it no longer manufactured. There was a (or several) lawsuit filed due to the premature deterioration of the product from water penatration. You're supposed to use specific primers and paint and make sure the backsides are prepared properly...

I have 8k what could i build with it?

I could easily build that for $8k in just material, but I have been in the trades for roughly 20 years and can do the whole thing myself so no labor costs. What kind of friends do you have? Any tradesmen? Carpenters, sparkies, concrete guys? Youre an aircraft mech so obviously you know how to...

    Outdoor fireplace ideas/plans

Check Lowes and or Home Depot in their book section. I do believe they both have a couple of books that include plans and technical specs for sizing the chimney to your firebox to get the draw you need for a functioning fireplace.

    AE Performance Wharehouse

I like at the begining he says "this collection will make Jay Leno or The Sultan of Brunei jealous". Not to knock this collection as it is impressive in my eye, but apparently the host has not seen Jay Lenos collection or the Sultans. I caught a show of Leno's and it is absolutely amazing, plus...

    school me on pex

+1 on the above tool and cinch rings. Ive redone 10 of our rentals and my own house. The fittings crimps and tool are relatively inexpensive easy to use and I havent had any failures yet.

You can still buy it but its not carried at very many places.

    Building a receiver hitch

I tried that once before and the hitch didnt fit. I dont remember if it didnt go in or it was really sloppy. I think it didnt fit because of the inside radius of the corners. It has been quite awhile. I ended up using premade reciever tube.

Support column in middle of garage/shop

Talk to your architect about the design I mentioned earlier. Scissor Trusses over the open area and loft, with rafters in the office. If the floor joists are too low to provide the strength to swap out the beam for a ridge board, see if you can put collar ties on the rafters to help support the...

My Weekend Find - Alien Head Planer

It could be painted like that because it was stolen. That is pretty much standard for stolen goods like that.

    Craftsman unusual clamps; any guess?

Those arent wheels theyre clamping pads. You clamp them on your work bench and then use the side pads to hold objests that are to large to clamp normally.

Support column in middle of garage/shop

With a a 4/12 roof over a 26 foot span you will have a little over 4' fom the wall to the peak. In that case you will probably only gain a foot or foot and a half of ceiling height. Do you need 9 feet under the office, or more than 16 feet in the open area?
