Ceiling in “Carolina carport” type building.

As am I. My ceiling will be the bottom of the trusses, not the underside of the roof.

Ceiling in “Carolina carport” type building.

In mine, I'm going to be putting 2" foam board between the metal framing, then using corrugated PVC roof panels for the ceiling (attached directly to the metal framing). Cheap and easy.

I made two great suggestions to Harbor Freight - We will see if they do anything with them.

Yes, several companies have their own versions of this kind of tool, but Eastwood has a patent on their particular design. The Bauer looks like an identical copy of Eastwood's tool. Whether or not it is an infringement upon Eastwood's patent, no one knows yet, not even them. Though I suspect HF...

They may be waiting to stock the drums until they see if they're going to be sued or not. lol. Eastwood has a patent on the SCT. I was in the main store last night, and they're waiting to get their hands on one to see how exact of a copy it is and if it infringes on their patent. If it does...

Builder built garage too short. What penalty?

On one hand, I say the builder (or HIS sub) screwed up and they need to make it right. They signed a contract to build something that they're not delivering. If it involves demo and restarting, then they need to do that. They're professionals. A mistake like that is unacceptable, IMO. On the...

    Pre Manufactured Shop Options

Cost is going to vary depending on your location, of course. OP is in SEPA, as am I. In 2020, I had a 896 sqft monolithic pad for my building poured (5" thick, 5500psi w/fibermesh, 12" turned down footer with rebar around the perimeter), 896 sqft driveway extension (4" thick, 5500 psi...

    Pre Manufactured Shop Options

You're going to need to up your budget. A pre-fab carport style building is going to run you $30k for 1000 sqft, and your concrete is going to run you about $15-20k on the low end. The you're going to need funds for permits, stormwater abatement (if your township requires it), insulation...

cheapest current place to buy spray foam insulation for DIY

Exactly. I was quoted $7k for 2" closed cell spray in my 28x32x12 garage. Doing it DIY was about the same, if not slightly more. It's not worth it. That's one of those jobs where it's worth paying someone to do it, while you sit back with a beer and watch. Of course, I couldn't swing $7k for...

    4 post lift install

Same. I don't get it. I rented a trailer to pick up my Wildfire XLT and put it together myself. It was fun.
