My Dad got me started on a lifetime of automotive interests, working on the family car(s) with him when I was about 7 years old. Dad was career Army, an accomplished mechanic and a jack of all trades. Lived many places in the USA and Europe and I finally settled in MI in the late 60's. I went on to become a factory trained VW/Porsche mechanic, owned my own German car repair shop for some years, then left it all to go into a business in the pro racing field. That was almost 30 years ago. I am a collector of (too) many things..old VW's, old Porsche's, slot cars, gas station memorabilia, old toys...etc.
