Detached garage 90A or 100A review and advice

You are forgetting the voltage. Are all these 240V numbers? Seems like it.

240V Wiring Questions - Wire Gauge

You do realize he said he'll have a larger welder/plasma? That alone will likely require a 50 or 60A circuit.

240V Wiring Questions - Wire Gauge

LOL, right? I wonder if he's ever seen 6/3UF.

Detached garage 90A or 100A review and advice

IMO you are way over thinking this. And please, ignore those voltage drop calculators. This is a feeder, you will likely never see even close to 90A for anything more than a minute or two. So using 90A in the calculator is giving you false readings, and will make you spend way more than you need...

    Picoscope, hantek or autel oscilloscope

I'd like to ask you what software you use with the Hantek? The stock one or something else like OpenHantek?

    6 AWG Issues

Great. You are still wrong. It is extremely hack. Don't try to justify this because you did it a few times and it worked.

    6 AWG Issues

Wow, that joke is older than you or me, and more immature.

WHY would you do the harder, more code intensive work and then let a professional do the easy stuff???

100 Amp Detached Building Sub Panel Wire Gauge?

It is STILL very common to see. I see it all the time. IMO this is one of most ******* stupid parts of the code. There is ZERO justification for allowing #2AL for a 100A service to a whole dwelling, but not to a 100A sub-panel in/around a dwelling. If anyone has a logical explanation, I'm all...

    how much jacket inside box

I use a utility knife. Box or panel, as far as I can reach is where the jacket gets stripped.

    Type wire in enclosed trailer

I used PVC conduit. It's super easy to work with and takes some abuse/flexing. I have a shore-power inlet and big inverter at the front with a double-throw switch, GFI receptacle at the front work bench, under cabinet light, 4' ceiling strip with LED tubes, a quad receptacle at the back, and 12V...

    Anything against code here?

Why would a simply homeowner keep a "stock of outlets"? You made it seem like you had cases of them.

    Anything against code here?

How much does that cost you a year in inspector bribes?

    Time and materials?

What is your justification for this??? If the job has ANY unknowns at all how in the world is that fair to the contractor? If something comes up, or there is a situation no one could predict, you expect someone to work for free?? F-THAT! If you need a NTE clause then hire someone you trust!

Plugs and lights on same breaker

In a small bedroom/den/LR it's fine to have them on the same breaker, especially in a newer installation. In a detached barn/shop/garage, there is NO reason at all to have them on the same breaker.
