    Any gas pump affectionatoes?

I have many old gas pumps, some restored on display, some disassembled partially restored and many waiting restoration. If you could post more pictures of the pump itself I should be able to tell you the make of the pump. The computer you show was used in many different manufactures pump. It...

    New garage door openers...

I just installed two Raynor Prodigy 2 and am very impressed. They appear to be just like the 8500. I installed two new fully insulated doors, one 9x20 and the other 10x10. They are super quiet and very smooth but also vey expensive.

    Shock from suspended ceiling grid

The metal lights sit in the ceiling grid and my thought is with a high resistance to ground the grid was energized with any bleed through from the lights. Once I gave the circuit a new ground the potential was no longer on the grid but to ground where it should be.

    Shock from suspended ceiling grid

Well I spent some time trying to isolate the issue tonight. After trying several things including checking each light and one junction box that the feed wire ran through I believe I found the issue. When I got back to the switch box that had the feed from the panel into it I checked with an ohm...

    Shock from suspended ceiling grid

If I turn both switches off the voltage is gone. The lights are wired to duplex's that are switched. I will double check the grounds in the fixtures. I was using and old Simpson analog meter. I do not think the lights are on a GFI just the receptacles in the basement.

    Shock from suspended ceiling grid

I know this is not a garage question but thought I would get some advice. Today I was doing some work above my basement suspended ceiling and got a small shock when I was drilling some holes. I thought it may have come from the electric drill but that is not the case. I put a meter on the metal...

    Trim Truss Tails?

If they are exposed I would still trim them all straight. If you don't it will make sheeting and drip edge more difficult.

    Trim Truss Tails?

Measure on outside trusses, chalk a line, mark with level or protractor and cut each tail to get straight. I don't know how many trusses but don't get in a hurry now and sight down a big bow for the rest of your life. Take the time and do it right now.

    Recessed flourescent lights?

I was considering recessing troffer's but they are to wide to fit between 24" on center trusses. I really like the clean look and no lost height.

    Pella garage doors

I am getting ready to purchase a new 10x10 for a new garage stall as well as replace a couple of old doors with a 18 x ? in existing garage. Just wondering if anyone has used Pella doors? If so how do you like them?

    Recessing suspended ceiling troffers

I like the looks of the parabolic diffusers but did not see any with 4 lamps only saw 3 lamp fixtures.

    Recessing suspended ceiling troffers

Norcal I was wondering if I would need to have an air space above the lights due to heat from the lights. I am in a northern climate and will be heating the garage full time so will be using fiberglass bats in the ceiling.

    Recessing suspended ceiling troffers

I am wiring a new third car garage stall(16x28 with 11'6" ceiling). It will be dry walled and painted with white ceiling light gray walls. I intend to use it for more of a man cave with a storage lift since I already have a 36 x 85 work/storage shop which is detached. I was thinking of recessing...

shop use/art for an old racing tire

My son is a big JR fan so I bought one of his used tires and made it into a bed stand for his room. Very easy to do just built a base 24"x24" painted it white and stand the tire up and screw it to the base. On top I made another 24x24 piece painted it checker board black and white and screwed...
