Recessed Lighting Covers to seal attic

I built my own with aluminum faced foam board. Used foam board glue to hold the boxes together. From what I remember the inside box dimensions were like 12 x 12. Used fireproof spray foam to stick them to the drywall. If I had to do it again would probably just buy the enclosures. I made over...

    Garage door opener lighting

This is not the proper way to address the new led bulbs not fitting but works. Grab a penny out of your pocket and sandwich between the lower contact and the led bulb of your choice. Just take notice that some have complained that garage door remote no longer works correctly or works...

Home Audio Questions - Please Help This Newb

I found you need lots of power for a garage system. I like my bass low and tight. I use an old Kenwood preamp and a couple of Crown DJ amps. One amp runs the mains the other runs the subs. Even at low volumes it still sounds full and crisp, something I couldn't obtain with just a reciever.

SmartThings Hub - ZWave, Seperate Shop Building

You can use Wink. Which also has ethernet on their V2 hub. Wink allows secondary Z wave controllers which can be accessed through one account. The secondary hub can be located anywhere that has internet access. 2oo' or 2000 miles doesn't matter. This is how I accomplish what you are trying to do.

Turning on secondary lights when the garage door is opened?

I use Wink Home Automation to perform exactly this. Light switch is Zwave switch. I have it tied to a "Robot" in the Wink app on my phone" Garage Door opens the light comes on. I can turn it off by the switch or turn it off via the app or even set it up on a schedule.

Front pads and rotors on wifes Malibu, oil change, air filter, rotated tires, checked rear brakes, epoxied strut dust shields back on the bearing plates. Gapped rings for polaris 250 top end rebuild, welded up a better winch mount for the polaris. Up next this weekend put Polaris back together...
