Some new takes on garage cabinets

For the first one, you could make your own [wooden construction] version a whole lot cheaper... http://www.familyhandyman.com/garage/storage/garage-storage-space-saving-sliding-shelves

Advice on how to organize my garage wall

I use 3/4" hardwood plywood, birch is fine and typically cheapest. You can make "brackets" of whatever size you need and then attach any type of hook to those brackets. You can use simple screw-in hooks or rake hangers or v-hooks, any standard (and cheap) hook, or make custom shelves...

Advice on how to organize my garage wall

Ditto on the french cleat. That's what I've done in my garage. Cheaper, more flexible, and much stronger than slatwall. If done right, it can look just as clean and neat as slatwall. Some GREAT ideas and inspiration in this thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39367

    Lets see your workbench

I got them from HomeDepot.com and they're listed as John Sterling Co. brand. I'm pretty sure they're identical to the K&V brand though (I saw those on Amazon). In addition to the fully folded 0 deg. and the upright 90 deg., they can lock in at 80 and 70.

    Lets see your workbench

Built a pretty cool little flip-down workbench. It's a little larger than 24" x 48". I've got it set up as a pocket-hole drilling station and also for assembling ******** boards (hence the corner stops). It flips down nice and flat against the wall so it's completely out of the way when not...

Best garage use for old lockers?

If you're hard pressed to find things to fill them up with, you could always use them for storage of long, narrow scrap. 6' and shorter scrap lumber, dowels, rods, or narrow enough leftover strips of plywood, etc. It would be easy to inventory/access the various pieces and would be hidden upon...

    Folding tailgate work bench

nice! However, after seeing that Marlin Crawler sticker on your tool chest, I would've guessed it would've been a Toyota tailgate. :D

    Lets see your workbench

We just moved a few weeks ago, so I'm still getting settled in my new attached 2-car garage. It's not much, but I think it turned out pretty well. So, here's my $30, 3-hour workbench. It's 6' x 2' and solid as hell. I designed it to use only 1 sheet of plywood and (5) 8' 2x4's. I climbed up...

What new American-made tools did you buy today?

Picked up a Kreg Rip-Cut yesterday. Haven't had a chance to try it out, but I've got a bunch of plywood ripping to do to make my French cleat wall in my new (to me) garage. I'm so happy with my Kreg Jig, I figured it would be worth a shot at only $35.

    screen for garage door

Here's a link to the Harbor Freight one: http://www.harborfreight.com/double-garage-door-screen-68310.html Anyone have any experience with this? I'm wondering if it could be split or adapted to work with my double doors.
