torx for me are much better if it has to be removed multiple times or high torque as they dont strip out but for single use high volume like plasterboard Philips is still king for speed, the bit doesn't hang in the head so no pulling it outt

if press not available would just cut it with torch or grinder close the shaft and split with a chisel

Every time this comes up I really dont know how the MG725 get such rave reviews yes it hits pretty hard and lasts fine but it is an awful gun to use all day , Love my IR TI hits hard as the snap on , used all day every day no issue and it is some much better balanced and lighter than the snap on

Would recommend the AC jacks way ahead of any of the snap on jacks , have had to warranty several of my workshops snap on jacks after very short period of time yet the AC ones keep going
