    Compressor Vibration pads

I use hockey pucks for my compressor feet, they are working great with no crawling around. I just placed them under the feet and let the compressor weight hold them in place with no bolts. I also bolted hockey pucks to the legs of my metal work bench, which is working out good.

    Metal Building vs Pole Barn

l would suggest a metal building in your area. I just had a 40x80x14 building erected near Brenham and I am extremely happy with the construction of it. Check out my build photos below. I used a very good and honest erector out of East Bernard and he can do a turnkey job if you need it. The...

Here is my "Big Blow" exhaust fan. Mainly to remove hot air from the Texas heat. I can't say how it works because I am in the process of wiring the shop. Scott in Texas

How do you guys hang stuff on metal walls?

How do you guys hang stuff on metal walls with out drilling too many holes? I just recently put 8 foot metal galvanize walls up in my shop. The major downfall I see is having to drill holes to hang signs, cabinets and other items. I could not see anyway around from drilling holes to mount my...

Garage Mahal Build in Brenham Texas (BlueBell Counrty)

The build is not quite done yet on the inside. I have a 8x14 bathroom and with washer and dryer area to frame out. A little left on the wiring. In another week or so I'll be moving some of my cars into their new home. Thinking of getting a 4 post lift to store one of the cars up and one under...

Garage Mahal Build in Brenham Texas (BlueBell Counrty)

Re: Garage Mahal Build in Brenham Texas (BlueBell Country) I would not do smaller than a 40x80 and if you can do a 20x80 lean-to do it. The lean-to is awesome.

Garage Mahal Build in Brenham Texas (BlueBell Counrty)

Thanks Jeff, I'm going to stay with the height I'm at right now. It stops at the middle purlin and I can use that as a shelf for oil cans and what-nots.

Garage Mahal Build in Brenham Texas (BlueBell Counrty)

After many hours of research on interior walls. I have decided to go with the galvalume PBU metal panels. The galvalume has a clear coat on it making it maintenance free. I am pleased with the results. Scott in Texas

Whats the best material to line the inside of a workshop?

I just recently built my 40x80 shop and now I am putting up interior walls. After many hours of research on interior walls in metal buildings, I decided to go with PBU metal panels for my walls. I debated the light stone color or the galvalume. I choose the galvalume because it has a clear coat...

    DIY steel framed 40'x60'?

For what it's worth, I just finished my 40x80x14 building with a 20x80 lean-to. The concrete and dirt work was way more than my building purchase and erection of the building. I was thinking around $70,000 but ended up more like $100,000 for a total cost. See my build thread here...

    Welding cart vs cabinet -preference?

I use a cart like this for my MIG on top and my stick welder on the bottom. It's very sturdy. You can catch them on sale at harbor freight or northern tools. http://www.harborfreight.com/30-in-x-16-in-two-shelf-polypropylene-industrial-service-cart-61930.html
