The length of nail/pin makes perfect sense. Was told to use 3" but that must be with the larger .27 red shot to punch it down that extra bit. Will pick up a shorter 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 nail/pins. And good tip on hitting it twice if it doesn't fully engage, which I don't think it entirely needs to. But...
Started our project to finish our basement this weekend. Got first section of wall up and tried out my Tapcon HS22 gun with yellow shot and 3" nail/pins. It did not go well. House is about 5 years old and the basement floor is a fiber mix. Shooting through green treat it barely engaged and the...
Built our 26 x 32 attached garage last winter and have a Ram 2500. Here's my advise.
Stick with a minimum of 26 wide. We have two 9 x 8 doors. With this there is enough room to open both driver and passenger doors fully. I do have to fold the mirrors in to squeeze the truck through (thank you...
The only way to get a feel for where it will go is to have an installer come out and start digging test holes (perk test). The site you want may wind up not being feasible. Only way to know is to start digging and find some sandy ground.
Just wrapped up our home build. In the garage we have 100 amp feeding in the bottom of the panel and power running out the top in conduit. It then jumps over to a 2x10 raceway then across the rafters. Should make finishing down the road easy.
Garage doors were setup to feed off the panel...
My dad has been in the business for a long time. One of the main offenders that people overlook the TP. Charmin and other heavily quilted TP's are heavy and just don't break down. May be something to consider and experiment with. Your water flow may not have enough velocity to carry this stuff...
Just wrapped up wiring my new garage. Struggled with adding dedicated 20A w/5-20R's. What would I ever plug into them???
But said screw it might as well while I'm at it. So added two, one in each back corner of the garage. Will I ever use them for there dedicated purpose, most likely not. But...
My Gravely ZT 50 has treated me extremely well and this will be its fifth mowing season. I have one very steep hill to mow and it climbs up and over with ease. Deck has taken any and all abuse I've thrown at it. Only issues I've had is an ignition coil and battery.
Just went down this rabbit hole. Sorted though everything I had. Kept the best I have which is craftsman. Mainly had excess sockets & wrenches couple ratchets and screw divers of misc. no name brands. Filled up a good size box and posted it on FB for free. Lasted a day and they went to Dad...
We are preparing to tear down our old farm house that has one small old barn still standing. While cleaning out the barn I found an old oil plug wrench still in its package. Will be taking it out and tossing in the tool box. May be handy every once in a while.

A quick CL scan for tool boxes a craftsman 42" box had just posted. For a price that seemed to good to be true. So took a chance and we ran and picked it up for $300. Thing was mint and all draws had liners. Put more scratches in it hauling it home than it had from previous owner.
Attempted to...
Sears recently suckered me into buying more tools with a deal I couldn't pass up. Ten percent off already discounted price with a grand total of $263 shipped. So figured why not.
