I just saw Expert-tools on MAC,they are good or not

I bought the 1/4"-1 1/4" & the 6mm-24mm wrench sets last year and not only have they held up but they are pretty comfortable. They are very nice to use in tight spots. I am a small engine mechanic so they fit my needs well. I cannot say how an automotive tech would rate them. Also I don't mind...

RIDGID lifetime service agreement - is it a scam?

They kept giving me hoops to jump through and denying my warranty registration. Good tools for being cheap but because of the warranty issue I will not be buying anything else they sell.

    Snap on light

I use this Snap On light all the time. It is just the ticket in tight spots, lasts a long time, and is adjustable to about any position you need. My only complaint with it is it's long recharge time, but I only have to recharge it twice a month.

    Show your new tool arrivals

I have a lot of these pliers. From what I can tell they are Sunex rebranded for Mac. They are pretty darn good pliers for the money. I bought one set of 15 for $149.00 and they often have 10 pc sets on sale for $99.00. They are not Knipex but out of 21 pliers of this brand I have only had to...

post your tools left in the engine bay story

Let my step father borrow my tools to work on his K-car. Next day he drove me 60+ miles to pick up a car I was buying. The car needed a jump start so we pulled his car up to it. When I opened his hood there in a row were several of MY wrenches and pliers on his core support. The hood must have...

Harbor freight tap and die sets

I have the metric and SAE sets at work. They are not high quality but if you take it easy and use cutting oil they will do the job.

I fired my Snap On CT8850 Monster Lithium 1/2" impact.

I bought the Mac BWP050 because my boss is too cheap to to fix the compressor properly-shoots water like a garden hose. The first job I did with it was dropping the skid plate off the bottom of a 30+ year old skid steer. It was snapping 3/8" bolts off without a grunt! Most jobs it simply rips...

For those that swear by their HF Freebie Multimeters

Reminds me of Edison promoting DC over Tesla's AC. Highly slanted.

1/2" Pneumatic Impact For Home Use

I've been happy with the HF Earthquake 1/2". It gets a lot of use and at $80 I can afford to replace it. Also 700ft lbs is plenty of power.

Ever buy a tool cause it was neat and you had to have it?

This smells like a trap. Do you know my wife?

Anyone use Husky or US General tool chest's?

My coworker has a Harbor Freight box and I have the Husky 40" & the De Walt 36". The Harbor freight boxes are tougher than the Husky but the Husky is a bit cheaper. I can get away with the Husky as it is in a work station and never moves. If I had to move one with tools in it I would get the HF box.

    Snap ring pliers

I also have the Lang & Channel Locks. They are the same but I found them in 2 separate sizes. They work great.

Something to be said for HF...

I'd rather have the tool I need to do the job when i need it. Quality is great, but useless when it isn't in your hand.
