    What part of the country do you live in? Down south a 1500wt heater may be all you need BUT in the cold north a 5000wt heater might runn all the time when it is cold out and jest keep things in the 30's.     ADP 45k BTU calls for heat, but won't turn on?

    It may be the "glow plug" that is out, if the gas valve opens but the lighter will not light after about 10/20 sec. the gas valve will close and you get no heat.
