    walker jack ID

the regular saddle is under the bolted-on aluminum plate that you see in the picture. i was told the jack was originally used by a atlantic championship race team so that could explain why the flat aluminum plate was installed. i've sent a pm to hiball. can't wait to get this thing fixed up.

Are Cman tools in general are better than chinese /taiwanese/ made tools?

nice link to the review. i wouldn't group taiwan in with china produced products. made in taiwan products are REALLY GOOD. made in china is usually ranges from pretty bad to barely okay. when i was growing up i used to use old sockets, ratchets, wrenches that my dad had in the garage is when...

    1 person brake bleeder

i use the motive and i like it. the black label line of bleeders has the aluminum cap/adapter which is nice. considered the speed bleeders in the past before i got the motive, didn't seem to like the idea as much for some reason. guess i didn't want to be working the pedals :)

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

2 ton engine hoist/floor crane - pass, not bad actually for home use leveler bar 2 ton - pass-ish, works okay but again is just okay for home use, there are a few issues with it, the fact that the handle came loose as i cranked was annoying me. and i haven't used to to level large engines, hard...

    Duralast revisted

i had this exact issue when i went to purchase my last craftsman ratchet. i sorted through 3 or 4 that had different ratcheting feels until i found the one i liked most, and then the chrome/finish had a big variations as well. it bothered me to think they felt so different, where's the...

    Duralast revisted

i only use hand tools that are made in USA and taiwan for a good reason. duralast and other "auto store" branded tools that are made in taiwan (same manufacturer maybe) have excellent quality and durability at great prices. US made tools imo feel a bit better in my hands but i have never...

    Overseas Jack Rebuild Help Tutorial.

my dad has used a made in taiwan floor jack (mid 70's or earlier?) in the garage since before i was born. thought it had finally given in to old age a few weeks ago when it seems to stop working correctly but today decided to take a closer look at it. the thing just needed to have some air...
