I just bought the 36" top / bottom set from Menards in blue. They were on "sale" but still paid a bit north of $700 for the set. I thought I would share some thoughts...
This is my first toolbox but I have to say these are very nice. I am a weekend warrior so I didn't need top of the line...
Hey guys
I have cabinets with unfinished oak doors/panels that I am hanging in my garage and would like to clear coat. They will not see direct UV but will see temp swings (I live in MN). I would also like to keep the natural oak color, so have been looking at water-based PU's.
What clear...
Thanks everyone!
I like the idea of adding angle iron or a unistrut to the back of the stacked 2x4's, I had'nt thought of that. I will look to see what the store has.
Otherwise, maybe even just a 2x2 in the middle might be enough to take the flex/bounce out.
On a related note - when...
Hey Everyone
Looking for some feedback. I'm building a workbench to go inside a bump-out in my garage. See attached pictures but I will screw the back and sides into the walls. Bench dimension is 9.5' long, 28" deep, 37" high. Top surface is two 3/4' plywood with MDF over that.
My question...

Hello
I sketched up two options in solidworks for my work area, trying to get a visual on what it will look like.
The two tool chests are US General, 44" (the beloved one) in the one and the taller 26" tool chest in the other.
If I got with the 44" tool chest I need an L-shaped bench to get...
Well we are finding that the crews that our builder hired out do the *minimum* that's required, and that's it.
We love the new house but there are more than a few items that I have to just shake my head at...thankfully our construction manager is good about getting things fixed, but some things...
I am a noob to this site but it seems like a breadth of experience and knowledge...I want to bounce a question off
I have a 3 car garage that is insulated, rocked and fire taped. They did not fill the drywall screws (except at the seams of corse). I would like to paint the garage and also...
