What did you do this weekend?

Rebuilt the carb on the pitbike to get it running again....then annoyed the neighbors for an hour zipping around the hood.

    Mr. Heater Big Maxx Problem

When I first installed my 45,000 unit, I hooked up the thermostat wrong (my mistake...my eyesight *****), and fried the motherboard. They sent me a new one with an appropriate inline fuse installed. This was over a year ago. I called them 2 weeks ago about the external fan starting to whine and...

    Heater is Installed

Sorry I haven't posted any updates in a while, been travelling like crazy. Anyway, I got my replacement circuit board and transformer and the heater is back online. No charge for the parts. And guess what RickAirMedic....the replacement circuit board now features an inline fuse in the wire...

    Heater is Installed

Never mind...I found the problem. Some components are cooked on the circuit card close to where the 24v leads from the transformer attach to the board. The question now is did the transformer fry the card? I guess I'll replace both to be on the safe side. It will be interesting to see how...

    Heater is Installed

I am pretty sure the power was off when I extended the thermostat. I did not change or touch the 120 service to the unit. I don't think its a gas problem because nothing comes on...no fan or anything...its not a matter of it running but not firing. A fuse would make a lot of sense but from the...

    Heater is Installed

Well, I finished all my vibration mitigation work a few weeks ago...it seems to be much better with all 8 vibration dampers installed. I also installed a small piece of flex-gas line to minimize vibrations to the bedrooms above. All this worked well...I mean it still makes moise in the bedrooms...

Will afFlexible appliance gas line work for Mr. Heater?

I think you have the wrong flex-line. I used the same lines...take a closer look at Home Depot. These lines come in various BTU ratings and lengths.

    Crappy Installers

I bought 2 Mr Heaters and paid to have them "professionally" installed. They did such a crappy job that I have since completely uninstalled the units and re-installed them myself. I don't think your typical HVAC company does that many garage heater installs...so maybe they just don't have the...

Garage door opener wirings (how to hide them)?

How flexible are those rods. I think I'll have to use the wire kind because my roof slopes towards the doors so I won't have any clearance to stick a rod down the wall. As it is I'll be working stretched out on my stomach to reach this area...

Garage door opener wirings (how to hide them)?

Damn...I just started reading this thread and could kick myself. I just dry-walled, painted, and even remembered to run the wires to the door openers box. I have never owned a garage door opener with that safety feature so it didn't occurr to me to run wires to the bottom of the doors. Rats

    Floor cover

I am looking to buy a couple floor mats to park my cars on. They need to be high quality and channel slush and water out toward the garage door. Northern Tool, and Griots, and Frontgate all carry a version of these. Does anyone out there have specific or general experience with these products...
