Closet opening is two inches short. Sliding closet doors so I trimmed two inches off the rail and door guide.
You mentioned RI Stage. I thought you meant rough inspection and its the inspector job to spot that.
We gave him a punch list that range from incomplete to really bad workmanship. After reviewing the list he decided to change the term of contracts and demanded us to pay more. We disagreed so he bailed. Filed a complain with the State Licensing Board and going after his bond.
Not only the width non-standard, the height is also non-standard. Height 7'7" and 1 inch different between the left and the right side. Such a mickey mouse job.
Padding with 2 by 6 on both ends would work but the city inspector already told me that I will have to stucco the wood to make them...
My contractor did some garage remodeling and when everything is done the opening is now 16' 4.5" wide. My existing door is exactly 16 feet.
Is there a workaround beside re-framing the opening or getting a custom size door?
