    Chainsaws

Stihl, Echo, Husky, take your pick, that's all everyone's is going to say will work. It's the same thing every time this question gets asked. No other will hold up... My neighbor told me yesterday to stay away from box store riding mowers, Hmmm , mine's only lasted me 12 years now. 10 years...

Rebuilding an Impact Wrench and the Fun of Second Hand Unknowns

Have had a lot of impacts like that, yet to have one that I can recall that was bad enough that it wouldn't clean up and work well. Looks good. Nice job.

    Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper

I've had great luck with those as well. I have them in Blue-Point and Matco. They work well.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Nothing today. Been real cold here, snowing most of the day today. Yesterday I got the "work dog" Ranger in there so I can pull that engine, change the head on the good engine I have that had a cracked head, drop that in there and make it run decent again. Was toast when I bought it, but 4x4...

If the door is right, any opener will work fine.

Cordless vs Electric impact gun, what kind?

Eh, some are just a wet blanket on every topic. Misery loves company, I guess.

    Engine Oil Treatment

Some guys on here really need to study oil. Not at all what they at screaming about.

Cordless vs Electric impact gun, what kind?

Batteries are rebuildable and can be bought in good used condition as well. Kind of a pointless argument. I'm still using ct4410 Snap-On's. Li-ion's can be rebuilt too. To add to that, what power tool lasts forever? Air tools don't. Cordless tools don't. Electric tools don't.

Trying to repair CH Model PL 1502 Air Impact!!!

I can't see that, but it's a pin style hammer, so I'm guessing you need a hammer pin, they break. Yes, you might find that a pin from another 1/2" impact will work, but I couldn't tell you which one. List of 1/2" impacts that use this design are almost any Nitrocat ( their mini's I have found...

What type of gasket dressing/sealant for a transmission?

Gasket with brush on Permatex. Surfaces are very flat, it won't leak. I try to stay away from silcone around things that use oil.

Impacting a bolt off with a ratchet on the other side

Seems like you'd not do that to start with. That's what breaker bars and wrenches are for IMO.

Anyone notice the NEW harbor freight tool cart yet? It's nice - $99 now, reg $149

I think I'm going to buy that, I need something in my shop to stop the need to go back to the tool box for sockets and wrenches all the way through a project. It's not bad when I'm parked right next to the tool box, but otherwise it's a pain. My sockets are in the top spot, so I have to really...
