    Old otc chain leveler

Thank you for telling us. This Mad Max contraption was going to consume my "whatzit" brain resources for quite some time if you hadn't. :wtf:

DR Leaf Vacuum The Good, The Bad

It's been well over a decade... maybe closer to two, since they had zippers on the bags. My very first bag had them. The zipper deserved its bad reputation! The replacement bag I bought had buckles and velcro.

The fixed mount remains because it is a feature (imho), but they aggressively addressed the zipper issues. They attack any complaint with upgrades until the complaints fade away. Neat company.

DR Leaf Vacuum The Good, The Bad

I also have a Cyclone Rake. It is at least 25 years old. I bought it used 20 years ago. Have worn out 1 impeller and worn through 1 bag, and did a crazy wheel bearing update to the sealed units about 10 years ago. It has roughly 10 million miles on it. I keep a set of Williams hard handles and a set of Wiha drivers in my working box. I came from a lifetime of clear handle Craftsman use, and those two are the best "feel" for me. I slightly prefer the Wihas honestly, but sometimes you want hard handles. Either has a far superior drive tip than...

    My father’s tools

I also am sorry for your loss. A portion of my tools were my grandfather's tools, and a portion belonged to my uncle. The former, who was a lath and plaster contractor, taught me much of what I know about fabrication, tools, and making something from nothing. The latter, who was a diesel tech...
