    Cabinet suggestions

Thank you all for the advice! I think I have a good idea where to start, repairing and patching the door frames. I will look for some videos on a good way to do that then replace the hinges with the Blum face frame hinges. I'm going to look at new doors as well.

    Cabinet suggestions

Recently we purchased a condominium we plan to use in the winter months only. We wanted something affordable for us and knew it would probably involve needing to make some improvements. Our first project is to do something with our kitchen cabinets. The cabinet doors are all loose and it...

I screwed up my Quickjack, now 1 frame won't go down

Thank you for your help. I put some added weight on it and it went down. Tested them again and they are working as they did when I last used them. GJ saved me some added grief as they usually do!!!

I screwed up my Quickjack, now 1 frame won't go down

I did try standing on it and pressing the down button but no luck. I'll try some more weight and see if that helps.

I screwed up my Quickjack, now 1 frame won't go down

I have owned a Quickjack BL-5000SLX for several years now. In the past, I used it without any issues every winter to perform maintenance and detailing some of my vehicles. I didn't use it last year (heart surgery) and stupidly forgot the warning not to raise the frames all the way without...

    Ceiling Light fixture question

Thank you for your replies. I hadn't taken the wires off yet when I posted this. Both wires were covered with a white insulation-type cloth. After removing it, I saw one was black and one was white. I was able to see which wire went to the center tab then so that worked for me. I appreciate...

    Ceiling Light fixture question

I know this is extremely basic for most of you but I need to ask. I am replacing a broken porelain light socket in a ceiling light. Both wires appear similar to me and the connector is something I'm not used to. Do I just place the wire under the screw like I normally do? Which wire would go to...

Suggestion for extremely small wrench or socket

Just an update that gave me a good laugh. I was watching a video of a rebuild of a Kawasaki Brute Force engine for another issue. I found a guy that knew what he was doing. He mentioned that the adjusters were different than other manufacturers. He solved the problem by bending a square head...

Suggestion for extremely small wrench or socket

The Kawasaki website does direct you to call your dealer if you have a tech question. I bought the ATV from an eBay dealer. When I called the dealer near me, he could not have been ruder and told me he would only work on vehicles bought at his dealership. I haven't called him since and never...

Suggestion for extremely small wrench or socket

Well, this is how I finally solved my dilemma. Taking a break overnight and discussing it here gave me a chance to try again. I checked for TDC to make sure it was on the compression stroke just in case that was holding the screws so tight. It was okay. When I backed off the lock nut it was...

Suggestion for extremely small wrench or socket

I am pretty sure it is at the correct stroke/position. I watched the intake valves go down and come back up, then went about a half turn to see the " T F " mark in the timing inspection hole. Also, I was able to slightly move both the intake and exhaust valves. The mention of a hose here...

Suggestion for extremely small wrench or socket

Here are a few pictures. There is about a 3 inch space between the exhaust valve cover and the power steering pump actuator on the steering shaft. I have removed everything that I can at this time but that is all the space I have. The valve adjusting screw is very small. The smallest wrench...

Suggestion for extremely small wrench or socket

I am attempting to adjust the valves on the front cylinder of an ATV. There is very little space to work in and I have removed everything I can to get to them. The rear cylinder was not a problem. I was able to loosen the locknuts and turn all of the adjusting screws by hand. The front...

    AC Leak advice

Thanks, I didn't know about the evaporator but thought there had to be something in there leaking. I will get my compressor and let you know what I find.

    AC Leak advice

I checked the drain and it seems to be working. The leak seems to originate much higher in the furnace.
