Does it make sense to put a piece of OSB/plywood underneath the platform? I just don't know how well would the concrete hold up with the weight of the car and the platform all transferred to a few spots of the pad, especially the square tubes for the legs are hallow.

Guys, What gauge steel do you guys use to make your platform in the middle? I am thinking about using 1" x 1" x .125" square tubing with a .25" tread plate. Is it beefy enough or should I have to upsize it?
