I get that a lot. ;) I think it was $50 at Pep Boys.

    Still a cluttered mess. :)

what is everyone using for under cabinet lighting?

I went with some inexpensive plug in Utilitech LED fixtures from Lowes. They're linkable, and independently switchable. That's before I tucked the wires away under the cabinets...

    Garage Stereo Systems

I have an old Aiwa XR-MS3 shelf system that thankfully has RCA plugs in the back, so I use a 3.5mm aux cable with my phone. The speakers fit up on my tall cabinets and the base is small, so it sits on my workbench.

I thought that it would help scatter light around the room. I was originally going to go with 8' 4 bulb T5HO fixtures, but I scaled it down. If I was really picky about it, I'd go over it with something to hide it a bit, but after all the work I've done over the last few weeks, I'm willing to...

Picked up some cheap LED under cabinet lights at Lowes. They're $18 each, linkable, and have 3 LED's per fixture. I'm going to tuck the wiring away, but I just wanted to get them mounted up.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it! Today, I finished building the last of the cabinets and rearranged them a bit. The ones I had under the bench quickly became annoying as I would kick the doors when I was working at the bench, so I moved them to the left and placed my mini fridge...

Progress! Tomorrow I'll do the other large cabinet and a short narrow one with 5 drawers, and then I can start actually putting all my **** away.

I was actually planning on flipping the top over anyway, because I want the front lip overhang against the wall. The cinder blocks around the edge of the floor causes a three inch gap between the back edge of the bench and the wall.

Just assembled mine last night, it's a Craftsman 8' butcher block bench that Sears sold a few years ago. Once I'm done assembling my other cabinets, I'll add some new pictures.

Thanks! Here's Impreza #6 I ended up selling my old 2001 2.5RS soon after. It was my second RS, and I'm sure I'll wind up with another one at some point. This evening, I built a cabinet. Then I built a bench. I have two 6' tall cabinets that will flank the bench, three wall cabinets...
