    Snap on slides

DAMMN!! I spent like £500 on a full set of new slides for my KRL stack earlier this year after Snap On wouldn't warranty them. :( I would have bought them from you (assuming you would have shipped them of course)

    Snap On handles

Yeah I meant retro-fit to the regular handles.. but if it involves that sort of work, I think I'd just rather keep them and buy more with the handles already on.

Should I start buying tools for my son?

My parents / grandparents / auntie & uncle bought me all my first tools and I'm forever grateful to them for it. They weren't snap on, but they are all decent quality stuff and still going strong 15+ years on. I've always treated every tool I've owned with respect, regardless of quality / value...

Ernst wrench holders vs snap on, help me make my decision.

Nice collection afazz, but I'm especially interested in the blue highlights on the spanners top right... Did you do that yourself? If so, what with?

Strangest Place You Found a "Lost" Tool?

I've only ever found 1 tool that didn't belong to me, and it was a Snap On 1/2" drive ratchet (S936); About 8 years ago, I was driving down the road approaching a junction and something shiny caught my eye in the middle of the road. I stopped the van just in front of it and got out to check...

Snap-On KRL roll cab & top chest restoration

The drawers have been dipped into the acid, not brushed on (the stuff we use evaporates too quickly to be brushed) The cabinets are being shot blasted outside - I've actually sent this out to a local company as I've not got the time to do it myself, otherwise I would have done it in our shot...

Cheers bud! I gotta thank you and Waggoner72 for your inspiration & supportive comments. Out of interest, what did you use on your drawer edge trims to bring them up so nice? Was it that evoporust stuff?

We use a product called stripsol, but the main chemical in it is called dichloromethane. It's wicked stuff, but nasty at the same time.

Snap-On KRL roll cab & top chest restoration

Yeah? let's see it... can't argue at £40! To be honest, I'm hoping it will put some newer boxes to shame when it's done.. trying to impress the snap-on dealer into letting me at his trade in boxes :)

Snap-On KRL roll cab & top chest restoration

Ok, so the box turned up last week and when I first saw it in person I was initially pretty disappointed. This was partly though due to the fact that my local Snap-On dealer had already been over to my unit and checked it out before me, and had decided he wasn't going to cover the drawer slides...

Yeah I suppose I could always return it back to original White if I ever wanted to sell it on. Ok so to pick a decent colour scheme then.. If anyone has any inspiring photos, please post them (not just relating to older or restored boxes)
