    Generac Purchase and Install Questions

It's .25psi here. To step up to 2psi requires a new regulator and $$. And obviously I realize "here" doesn't mean everywhere. It's just something to consider when sizing and pricing a unit.

Solar panels for you house/ shop

I've had Enphase for ~15 years, no issues. Have 18 panels and inverters. AFAIK it's still all good (sold that place a couple years ago). They are the 1st gen m215 and the house ones were the newer version. Canadian Solar panels. Ive considered doing a setup at the new place, but i dunno. I...

It's not hard to DIY. Unless the installers are fairly cheap, I wouldn't even consider hiring it out. You built a shop, doing solar will be cake compared to that.

It does here. Running mine and heat required a different regulator almost the larger gas meter, which puts it to commercial service. Or a seperate feed/meter JUST to the gen set, which is ~$25 a month just to have. A 37kw gen set is roughly equal to running a 550,000 BTU furnace. That would...

Current unit is a VRC, one before was a VRC (boiler section started leaking, replaced for free under warranty), and orginal was a Baxi (gas company set the pressure too high and...

    Tankless water heater capacity questions

Not sure what a CH/boiler is, but my setup takes a good 15-20 seconds to detect flow, light, and come up to temp, and more like a minute, maybe longer to be stabilized at temp. It was long enough I could turn the shower on, go piss, undress, clean clothes set out, towel out and I still needed to...

    Tankless water heater capacity questions

It doesn't have to go through all the safeties most any gas heater does? Plus come up to temp? Ive only had 3 different tankless combi units, so dunno.

    Tankless water heater capacity questions

It holds the water hot for a day easy... without it turning on. But it heats itself if needed.

    Generac Purchase and Install Questions

I lived in Houston, San Antonio and Witchia Falls. No A/C Same in Idaho where normal summers temps are in the 100s. Wasn't fun, but I didn't die (least I think i didn't). I get sweaty at above 65* so not like the southerners that act like 10* is deathly frigid and 90* is comfy haha. Even if...
