It's .25psi here. To step up to 2psi requires a new regulator and $$. And obviously I realize "here" doesn't mean everywhere. It's just something to consider when sizing and pricing a unit.

It's not hard to DIY. Unless the installers are fairly cheap, I wouldn't even consider hiring it out. You built a shop, doing solar will be cake compared to that.

It holds the water hot for a day easy... without it turning on. But it heats itself if needed.
