    build garage square or level?

The only advice I can give is to hang in there and get it done. Get this wall building project behind you, get it dried in, and then you can spend the colder months "in" your garage instead of looking at a pad under the snow.

Get as much done as possible before the baby. :)

Tig or Mig that is the question

Flux core "mig" is very dirty and generally bad for your health when you breathe in the fumes. If you have the option to try out a MIG with gas you will see it is a different type of welding. In addition to the welder, make sure you have the budget for a decent table, saw, and the other related...

    Weather Resistant Wood

I am not sure where you are located in SE Michigan but check out the ReUse center. They have wood that was cut down locally and is hard to find in a big box store. You should be able to find locust and any type of oak you want. http://urbanwood.org/about/details/recycle-ann-arbor/ Fun place...

    radio flyer wagon

Here is a picture of the one I built (the wagon, not the car). I have done some more work to make the front prettier. My son likes taking it to events because he gets a free ride. Some more ideas in this tread: http://ratrodsrule.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24152

    3 way switch help please?

Even if there is no color difference, there should be a "common" label on one of them. Just wait till you find a 4 way switch. It took me a bit to figure out some of the (excessive) switches in our house.

    Snap-On Tool Box Score

Me, discouraged... nah. I waste more money on powerball than this thing cost. I think the second part is the key. It is not complete or desirable enough for the deluxe treatment. It is functional storage and deserves a good cleaning but not much else. Don't want to disrespect the SO fans but...

    Snap-On Tool Box Score

I agree on the price range. Value on these things (as with most things) is subjective. I wanted it but don't really need it -- story of my life. If it does not sell locally then I will need to figure out a way to drag it around to the basement workshop... when the snow has melted but the...

    Snap-On Tool Box Score

Acquired this Snap-On tool box recently. It is dirty (grease) but in overall solid shape. At this point, I am trying to decide if I am going to keep it or try to sell it. Any thoughts about the value? If I keep the box, it will get some paint to keep the rust away for the time being. I don't...

Basement shelving and benches, looking for plastic feet for 2x4s

We took the easy way out and bought a few sets of shelves like these. Not being attached to the walls came in handy when we needed to mop up or place a fan in the room to move air.
