The "main breaker" being the one at the meter?

I guess I should have described that one a little differently. It is actually an attached car garage, and that is where the washer and dryer are located, along with that breaker box. The problem with coming off the main breaker box for the house is that it is on the opposite side of the house...

I intend to add a pad of crushed gravel. A concrete pad would be way more expensive and I'm afraid that's not in the budget.

I agree, I don't wish to have a separate meter charge. As far as the subpanel in the laundry room, the box there appears to be full. There are breakers for the dryer, a water heater, and an AC outlet. and the lights and outlets. The breakers add up to 190 amps.

Looking at buying a portable building, possibly a Derksen as there is a dealer close by.
