New Garage footing - Grounding rod/rods inside footings?

We are seeing more and more footing "Bags" (to reduce foundation wicking). These footing bags have zero ground contact. This may necessitate a rod being pounded in. If a dedicated footer-UFER is intended, is there some kind of marking/hookup for 'Sparky' to access?

Point taken PK. Response was misplaced. Just had a thought about ground rods inside footing and started new thread.

New Garage footing - Grounding rod/rods inside footings?

Actually, I was thinking of pounding the 8' rods straight down, through where the footing will be poured, and stick out 4" above the concrete. I can place an insulator at the exit point if needed. I'd use typical bronze ground rod clamps.

New Garage footing - Grounding rod/rods inside footings?

Excellent Chuckster, Now the 2-1/2" sq 12ga base tube runs horizontally across the footing. Can I have the sleeve and ground rod, on the inside of the base tube?

New Garage footing - Grounding rod/rods inside footings?

Another question about new garage install. In-Footing Ground rod location? While I am pouring new footings, can I pound ground rods through my footing forms and attach my sub-panel grounds 10' apart in line with my buildings frame line? Concrete would be poured around the top of the rods. This...

Thanks Wylie, I will use the 100A main load box per Sparky, and unbond the neutral. Just spoke to the local inspector. Very nice guy. He said he is looking for "a" copper coated building ground rod, for any, powered, detached structure. Do I need 2 neutrals and 2 ground bars for this 4-circuit...

Perfect Sparky. The 'blanks' will dominate here, 4 breakers total. I am not worried about the 'look'. Simple and effective. Thanks I shall check with 'local' codes first. Cost is not much different either, as 'breakers' come with this value pack.

Pedestrian door in Metal sliding gate help

Tough one here... Either option would be a scalp-scraper. Gate on the very end would be most frame friendly. GL

No hate coming here... Always start small and simple, and see where it leads you. Good thread start, well done. Try TIG if you get serious about fab. The gas lugging can be a pain, but it's super clean & results can be supreme. Cheers

OK thanks, just thought the external plug may be handy at some point, without having to add another outdoor box. Separate circuit is not an issue.. Would this simple pull-out be an option? I do not wish to complicate this and add unnecessary cost...
