How to size hydraulic wheel motors?

Why on earth would you put accumulators in a compact, cheap propulsion system? I'd work backward from desired ground speed through tire size, motor displacement, pump flow, and engine HP. Then sanity check rim-pull as suggested above. Always a difficult balancing act to get enough speed...

Going rate on wood floor install?

Got it done. Have aches in different spots than ever before. I would have eventually got done by myself, but having wife and daughter sort and rack, and son mark and cut and push/tap/pry made it infinitely better for me. I'd hate to meet the man who can do this project in one day by himself in...

Going rate on wood floor install?

Nearly done with 500 sq. feet of 3/4" pre finished solid red oak in our living room. The four of us (wife and our teenage kids) are starting on fifth and hopefully final day of the project. I'd call it 140 billable "man hours". Guessing 1/3 of that went to pulling carpet, 200 feet of OLD tile...

    Leland-Gifford Drill Press For Sale

I own two LG drill presses. They are sweet. NO way it's single phase. Will be 220 OR 440 three phase, not dual voltage. Will have a 4 speed motor and HI/LO gearbox for eight speeds total. Many came with power down feed but this example is not so equipped. Probably has a 2 Morse Taper spindle...

    3 - Point Fork Attachment

Long time lurker, have to jump in.... I'd suggest 4"x4" by 1/4" wall square tube. You need the torsional stiffness that closed shapes provide. No pictures at hand, but years ago built a front end loader attachment for a 4020 JD for same style forks, and the 4x4 tube has been flawless.
