What's the one garage upgrade you wish you'd done sooner?

The only thing I wish I did sooner was build the garage. But in that garage, my most appreciated things I did were the following: Over the top insulation & a thermostat Vidmar cabinets and other organizational/storage things Quite a few high quality hose reels and electric cord reels Excellent...

Is there a socket for this motor thru-bolt head?

I'm firmly anti-plierwrench and I agree. But I see the OP already solved his problem.

Bridgeport Mill, what is it worth?

Hey OP, did you ever get a mill? @pvanderlugt

Bridgeport Mill, what is it worth?

Some of the justifications for people in favor of drill presses is comical at best. Not having the space, need, or knowledge for a mill = all pretty good reasons. Some of the others are just sad excuses for people trying to justify inferior equipment.

Bridgeport Mill, what is it worth?

If someone is that retarded they get what they deserve.

    I've spilled my last quart

It's a 3d print. Are you saying you want to make one out of welded 1/4 steel plates for added stability?

    Basket for tractor

I like it! Love the B5100. I've got a B6100 I rebuilt/restored a couple years ago. There's a thread on it somewhere here. I would pay out the nose for a loader like yours. Haven't been able to find any at a reasonable price within a reasonable drive, though.

    Bridgeport power switch knob

I've 3D printed a few of them for machines that needed one. Have all held up very well.

Where can i buy these JIS Bits?

The guy can't effectively phrase a question. I'm doubtful hes going to have a need for a driver that nobody here even thinks exists... I'm thinking troll thread/account or bot.

Can you have too much torque reversing a bolt out? If you do what happens?

In no way am I trying to be rude, but I am so insanely jealous of your lack of knowledge on what happens in this instance.

    Are Air Compressors still necessary?

Portable battery powered inflators, battery powered impacts, etc., all have come a long way in being fast and powerful and have really cut down on my own personal compressor use. I couldn't be without one for paint spraying, blast cabinet use, and plasma cutting, but I also have to mention how...

    Home workshop collective group

I disagree. We live in an extremely litigious world now. I get where you are coming from and your good-hearted intent behind it, but it doesn't change the fact that most people are morons and will become a headache in short order. People who have lots of tools and skills are generally pretty...

    Best belt sander belts

3M and Norton are my brands of choice. Not cheap, but they last so much longer than cheap belts that they make up the difference in cost.
