removal of asbestos containing vinyl covering wood floors

Cobbler, i' m pretty sure you can use a machine in your region, if the work area is sealed off 6 mil plastic over doors and windows, provided the stripping is completed in one 8 hr shift or less. Almost certain ,but i will double check.

removal of asbestos containing vinyl covering wood floors

Removing the adhesive will be extremely time consuming, and will create more of a hazard then removing the tile. Wear a respirator and seal off the room with 6mil plastic and create an air lock between the room the work is being done and the rest of the home.a Hepa filter vacume is needed for...

    My 2-Car Porcelain Tile Install....

Looks awesome can't wait to see the final product. Was it mandatory to use porcelain? I'm in southern ontario as well, and was hoping to use ceramic. What is your professional opinion?

    VCT disappointment

Should have sealed the floor before putting anything on it. The tiles are very porous to absorb the sealer and wax. Otherwise a 30year tile won't last 30days.

    VCT install soon

You would have much better success when it is warmer! The tiles should be climatized to the space. I always use Roberts 5038 adhesive with a 1/16 trowel, and install over half a million sqft a year. Never any problems in 10 years.Knock on wood lol.

    Energized!

My bad, they are dedicated 20! I know very little about electrical, but had a electrical engineer at my disposal to do the job, and supply the materials. I am in ontario.

    Need to add more heat

Hey Vern I'm just south of you,in Niagara. I'm going r14 in the walls and r30 in the celling covered with drywall. I have a 10 ft door with r16. Fairly good as far as insulation goes. I did consider a portable to get it up to temps and the electric to maintain it if I need to.

Now to insulate and board before I finish it off. 100amp panel, 2 240 outlets (welder, plasma cutter) 3...

Hey, krisway, not to stray off topic but how big is your shop? I'm just finishing a 20x23 and ordered 2 4000w heaters, hoping they'll do the trick.
